Internship Applications

 

Please come to the Human Resources Department of our company in person to complete an internship application form.

 

High School Internships

 

Arçelik accepts high school internship applications in June and the internships take place during the school term, i.e. between September and June.

The Human Resources Department distributes High School Intern Surveys to teams and departments in April to determine the number of students, vocations and number of internships needed. A needs assessment form that is filled out according to the results of the survey is sent to the Provincial National Education Directorate and the relevant schools in May. The schools send to the Human Resources Department by the first week of the academic year in September the vocational training agreements for the students who will do an internship in the enterprise determined by the school, thus starting the internship process.

 

University Internships

 

The Human Resources Department determines and announces the internship terms for university interns in March according to the university closing dates, the plants' production programs, and group vacation periods. The deadline for internship applications is March 31. Absolutely no applications are accepted after this date. University internships take place in June, July and August and the interns start their internship together on a specified date. Young people who get theoretical information in their academic lives get the opportunity to put such information into practice and to learn about professional life.

Students who wish to do an internship in our company must personally fill out a University Internship Application Form. At the end of May, the applications are grouped according to the students' internship and department preferences. With the guidance of the Human Resource Department, the Department Internship Counselors choose interns according to when the internship will start, number of students, job groups, the qualities of the students (knowledge, skills, foreign languages, computer experience), and the contents of project-based work. Some of the selection criteria are as follows:

  • Applicants must have finished the third year of university in order for their application to be included in the internship pool;
  • It must be compulsory for the applicant to do an internship;

Since internship applications usually outnumber the available positions, Arçelik imposes some limitations on applications:

  • Regular high school, technical high school and vocational school internship requests are not accepted during the university internship period;
  • Students who have previously done internships in our company cannot do a second internship on the same campus.
