BEKO LLC, operating in Russia under Arçelik A.Ş. of Koç Group, a leader in its sector, was placed the first in the “Company of the Year” competition organized every year by “RBC” (RosBusinessConsulting), one of the most prominent newspapers of Russia and the representative and organizer of the “Effie” awards that guide the advertising sector, in the category, “the fastest developing and the most dynamic company’’. BEKO LLC was thus the first Turkish company to receive the “Company of the Year” award in Russia.

Senior executives of leading companies in Russia, government officials and prominent people from social, cultural and political circles attended the “10th RBC Awards” ceremony at the Gostiny Dvor building in Moscow.

Receiving the award for BEKO LLC during the premier attended by companies leading their own sectors, Oğuzkan Şatıroğlu, BEKO LLC General Manager / Russia Country Manager said, "We are very happy and proud to receive the “Company of the Year” award as the representative of Arçelik A.Ş. in Russia. The BEKO LLC Manufacturing Plant, being the first factory built by Koç Group abroad, manufactured a total of 429,000 products in 2007, 75,000 of which are exported to countries that are geographically close. 1,080 people are employed at the factory with a closed area of 78,500 square meters and an open area of 546,000 square meters. The main goal of BEKO LLC is to make the BEKO brand one of the three largest white goods brands in Russia by 2010.
