29 September 2009	-	BEKO is The New Main Sponsor of The German Basketball League “Basketball Bundesliga”. BEKO, the international brand of Arçelik A.Ş., has become the main sponsor of the “Basketball Bundesliga”, one of Europe’s most important basketball leagues. With the start of the season 2009/2010 the “Basketball Bundesliga” will be played under the name of “BEKO Basketball Bundesliga”. 30 July 2009	-	Arçelik’s Net Profit Increases 91% in First Half Reaching 258 Million TL Despite challenging market conditions and the narrowing of markets, Arçelik reached a consolidated turnover of 3.1 billion TL in the first half of the year and its turnover in the international market reached 1.5 billion TL. The Company’s net consolidated profit after tax for the first six-month financial period increased by 91% compared to last year's numbers and reached 258 million TL.

BEKO LLC, company of Arçelik A.Ş. in Russia, was awarded first place in the “Company of the Year” competition organized by “RBC” (RosBusinessConsulting) in Russia every year in the category for the “The fastest developing and the most dynamic company”. Ankara Plant reached 8 million As being the leading company of Koç Group in consumer durable goods sector Arçelik has produced the 8.000.000th dishwasher in its Ankara plant. 04 March 2008	-	Arçelik becomes the First and Only Turkish Company in the International Patent League With its 143 patent applications Arçelik Company climbed 35 steps at a time to reach the 101st rank among the companies with the largest number of patent applications worldwide. Arçelik Company became the only Turkish company among the first 500 companies list declared by World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).
14 January 2008	-	Arçelik Commences Production At The First Tumble Dryer Plant in Turkey Arçelik Company, Koç Group’s leader in the durable consumer goods sector, has quadrupled its production capacity in tumble dryers and launched the first plant for this product in Turkey after an additional investment of EUR 26 million. The innovation leader and patent champion of Turkey, Arçelik Company, introduced tumble dryers to Turkish consumers in 2005, putting its signature on another “first”. 13 October 2006	-	Arçelik Company Became One Of The Players In Russia With Its "Production" The plant, the foundation of which was laid in June 2005 in Russia in accordance with the vision of Arçelik Company, the 3rd largest producer in Europe in its sector, of "becoming one of the ten most preferred brands of the world with its BEKO brand until 2010,” has commenced production operations. Beko LLC refrigerator and washing machine production facility and Beko Elektronik LLC TV production facilities (located in Kirzhach which is 110 km far from Moscow) of Arçelik Company, which grows with Beko brand in the global market, have been inaugurated. It is targeted to produce washing machines and refrigerators with a capacity of 900,000 units and to produce televisions with a capacity of 750,000 units in these facilities.

Produces The First Side-By-Side Refrigerator In Turkey As pioneering another first investment in the Turkish industry, Arçelik A.Ş. has launched the first and the only Side-by-Side refrigerator production facilities in Turkey at its Eskişehir plant. While achieving a significant growth rate due to the increase in European consumers’ preference in recent years, side-by-side refrigerators are in use in States and the Far East for many years.
