Authorized Arçelik dealers will sell Apple iMac and iBooks
The Apple computers, of which Bilkom is the distributor in Turkey, will be presented to the consumers in authorized Arçelik dealers. The campaign that has been implemented in three cities will be spread throughout Turkey.
The local distributor of Apple Computers, Bilkom, within the corporate body of Arçelik and Koç Holding, has started a new cooperation. Now, the Apple products will be sold through authorized Arçelik dealers. The pilot campaign starting in the authorized Arçelik dealers in three big cities will later be spread throughout Turkey.
With this cooperation, Arçelik will present a colorful product range including aesthetically and technologically competent computers like Apple iMac and iBook to its customers, while Apple Bilkom will enlarge its user group by reaching the customers outside the professional market through Arçelik's distribution network throughout Turkey.
The iMac and iBooks that will be presented to the market in the authorized dealers in Istanbul, Izmir, and Ankara at the first stage will also benefit from the technical service integrated within the service network. The number of the authorized dealers will increase in stages, and by July 2002, the Apple products will be for sale in all the authorized Arçelik dealers. In the meantime, all the information concerning the sales of the Apple products can be obtained through the Bilkom Support Hotline (0 212 334 91 11) between 08.30-24.00 everyday.
The Apples will tell about themselves
After completing the marketing training of authorized Arçelik dealers concerning the sales of the Macs, Bilkom will give a boost to computer sales with the promotion CD it has prepared. It will be enough to visit an authorized Arçelik dealer and push a button just to get to know Apple, which will contain its features. In addition, users from every age group will be able to find Mac games in authorized Arçelik dealers.
Gündüz Özdemir, Vice President of Durable Goods Group / Sales & Marketing, commented about the benefits of the synergy created by cooperation for both companies:
"We, as Arçelik, are aiming at increasing the customer traffic to our network of dealers by supplying this service, and, of course, Apple Bilkom is aiming at increasing the sales."
Tijen Mergen, the General Manager of Apple Bilkom emphasized that this cooperation is very important for them, and that through the widespread distribution network of Arçelik, they will now have the chance to reach the teachers, students, and housewives outside the professional market.
